The idea for this project was suggested to me by a friend, and I liked it immediately. The design makes it possible to sit at the table, grill meat, watch the fire, and at the same time enjoy the pleasant warmth of the stove: the lower part was intentionally designed to stay warm and gently heat the legs. This creates an especially cozy and comfortable atmosphere.
After the planning and structural calculations, I built this stove. Once the work was finished and the stove had passed its first tests, it was very well received by everyone who saw it or tried it.
The stove is made of metal and lined on the inside with refractory fireclay brick. The glazed doors serve both for adding firewood and for giving a direct view of the fire.
The tabletop was made of roughly hewn oak boards, which emphasize the natural character and strong visual presence of the entire composition.
Thanks to the special design of the stove, especially its lower section, a person sitting beside it could not only watch the food being prepared, but also warm their legs with the gentle heat of the stove.
The stove is located at my friend’s home in Kharkiv, Ukraine.
