This indoor fireplace with a cast-iron insert was built for the same client as the “South” complex. The construction consists of a cast-iron insert, a base, a supporting frame, and a plasterboard enclosure.
Ventilation grilles are provided for air circulation: cool air is drawn in at the bottom, while warm air is directed from the upper section into two rooms — into the room with the fireplace portal and, at the rear, into another room.
One of the main characteristics of fireplaces with cast-iron inserts is their rapid heat output. Since the insert is made of metal, the room heats up relatively quickly. However, because this type of construction has very little heat storage capacity, the fireplace also cools down rather quickly once the fire goes out.
Another distinctive feature of this fireplace is its facing in beautiful Bulgarian sandstone. This stone has a lively, slightly shimmering surface that gives the fireplace a warm yet refined character. That is also where its name comes from — “Gold”.
This fireplace is also located in the countryside not far from Kharkiv, in eastern Ukraine.
