The stove includes a bread-baking chamber, a cooking surface with two burners, and a dedicated drying niche.
The clients for this stove were a young, likeable, and athletic couple. They bought a small, old, but cozy house and are gradually renovating it. In their words, this stove is meant to become one of the main sources of warmth, comfort, and everyday coziness in their home.
The stove was built from solid red machine-made brick, while the firebox is lined on the inside with refractory fireclay brick.
The original design of this stove was not created by me, but during the construction process I substantially revised it. In my view, the initial design was developed more by a theoretician than by a practitioner. A practical approach usually avoids unnecessary brick cutting and overly complicated breaks in the masonry, since such solutions not only make the work more labor-intensive and time-consuming, but can also weaken the structure itself.
The stove is located in a suburb of Kharkiv, in eastern Ukraine.
