The stove belongs to the category of continuous and long-duration heating systems. Its heating phase takes several hours and in some cases can last up to ten hours. However, precisely because of its mass and thermal inertia, it then retains operating temperature for a long time and cools down only slowly.
Among the most important parts of the structure are the firebox and the stone chamber used for steam generation. The weight of the stones in such a stove can reach up to two tons, which requires an especially reliable and carefully engineered internal system.
In addition, the stove includes a metal register with hydraulic pipes for heating water, which is also used in the bathhouse.
The stove was built entirely from fireclay brick and has a double-shell construction. Inside is the main core of the stove, while the outer facing was built separately through a thermal expansion layer. In essence, this is a “stove within a stove” design intended to operate under very heavy thermal stress.
For additional reinforcement, the stove was tightened with metal bands, which increases the rigidity of the structure and its reliability during long-term operation.
The stove was built in the autumn of 2021.
